Abbott has released an urgent medical device correction for certain FreeStyle Libre 3 and Libre 3 Plus glucose sensors after discovering some units may produce falsely low glucose readings. The issue impacts sensors manufactured on one specific production line and has been linked to 736 severe adverse events and 7 deaths globally as of November 14, 2025. Customers are urged to check their sensor serial numbers at FreeStyleCheck.com, stop using any affected sensors immediately, and request free replacements. Abbott reports the root cause has been resolved and does not expect major supply disruptions.
